Monday Musings - Just the Facts (and a few Habits)

That sweetie Beck tagged me for this meme which I have sort of done before, it was weird things about me. This meme is about facts and habits, so here goes.

No, not these Facts....

Here are the rules:

A. Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. Will do.

B. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. OK

C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Not going to happen, everyone I know has been tagged.

8 Things About Me You Don’t Really Care About You Need to Know:

1) Habit - If I am doing more than one load of laundry during the day I sort the items by person as they come out of the dryer to make folding faster. I use three baskets, one for each girl and one for us. If I have towels I use another basket for them.

2) Fact - I have no tattoos, but my ears are double-pierced. I have not put earrings in the second holes in years. Want more? I did the second myself with an ice cube and sewing needle. This is true, I swear. It is also true that it usually took about three nurses to hold me to get a needle as a child.

3) Habit - I try to touch papers once, a habit I learned in my past office life. I either make a note, file it, or recycle it after I receive it. This doesn't explain all the things on my cork board in the kitchen, but it sure sounds good. Actually, the cork board is usually full of appointment cards or invitations, full of helpful maps and registry cards.

4) Fact - My middle name is Ann, without the "e". I have always wanted that "e" just like a certain Miss Shirley.

5) Habit - I never go to bed with dirty dishes. I cannot relax for the evening until my kitchen is clean. Other chores can wait, not the kitchen.

6) Fact - I rarely wear deodorant, it gives me a rash. Well, not so much a rash as it just irritates my skin. When I do use it I use Dove for sensitive skin which is the least irritating I have found. I shower everyday and use cornstarch powder and everyone always tells me how nice I smell. Even on the days I don't wear any perfume. I also don't get any sweaty marks on my clothes.

7) Habit - Checking my blog for comments or new posts on Google Reader five times a day.

8) Fact - I am considering having another baby...well it might be a joint decision, but you get the idea.

All Done

I am the same with #5. My house can be a total pig sty, but if the dishes are done at night I am at peace.

Oh how I wish I had the same habit as #5...I don't. Dishes are sort of my husband's chore, though he doesn't do them on the same timeline as I would pick (every day) so either I have to do them or put up with some dishes in the sink. I usually pick the latter.

More kids? I'm intrigued. What does your hubby think?

Oh and checking Google Reader and your blog? That is totally me. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I have a unused second set of earring holes, too. Nothings says, "I'm a child of the 80s" like double pierced ears.

Honey, you are NOT considering having another baby. You ARE having another baby. You know it's true! So just accept this fact, so we can get down to the business of discussing names. Yes, I'm obsessed. Thank you for noticing.

We have FOUR in common except I HAVE AN E.
OH YEAH. I rock with my E.
Yep, I am ready to help you name your upcoming baby any time you want.

Christine-I have heard other people say the same thing, it is all about the kitchen.

Omaha Mama-Hubby will go along with whatever I decide, he really loves the girls and would love another child. He says that realistically the work mostly falls on me since I am home and he worries that I will be too overwhelmed. As for the trying he is all for it!

Alpha DogMa & Beck - I promise if the day should come you will both be consulted. Beck, I will forgive you for having the "e".

I just always wanted to have red hair like Ms. Shirley. And was always a little resentful of her for hating it. :)

Another baby. Whew. I only have one but I've always wanted three. Only, just the other day, I think I resigned myself to two in order that I might actually be able to, oh I don't know, afford post-secondary education and still be able to travel. Sigh.

You take the good you take the bad you take them both and then you have ...

Oh wait. I got distracted :-)

I am fascinated by your armpits! I'm so jealous of your nice-smellingness and general daintiness. Me, I'm a perspiration freak. I religiously clean and deodorize and anti-perpirzie but still have to replace all my white t-shirts and blouses every six months.

I am in awe of your supernatural underarms. And your clean kitchen.

And child number three? We're debating number two. Very hard decision.

Ooh new baby consideration, how exciting! I also have a couple of holes in my ear that I did myself years ago (procrastinating for exams) but which no longer have anything in them. Now I have only one hoop (the only one that hasn't broken yet in 10 years) in my right ear and nothing in my left.

I admire your dishwashing and paperhandling habits. I have a bit of a problem with both of those.

I was wondering about that second earring hole. I have two holes, too, and I rarely wear earrings in both. Does it close up over time??? I hope not. I still like to have the option, you know?
